Bird Song in Dorset Winter

Leaving the house with Bear my trusty Chocolate Labrador, about half an hour before dawn. On my journey around the fields and lanes of the Dorset countryside, I noticed that even though it was winter, the birds were quite lively at dawn.

So with my trusty Zoom H1n recorder, (I want to mention this device as I am finding it to be a superb piece of kit), I set out to various locations over a few winter days and recorded some of the sounds that I hear on my walk.

Dawn Chorus with Running Water Sounds

On the journey you will hear all manor of birds shouting and singing to be heard above the competition of the other birds. Some of the recording took place next to running streams, so you can hear the dawn chorus with water sounds in the background.
