Listen to the Sound of Bees on Lavender

A little while ago, I notice that my lavender bushes had a lot of bees and other insects visiting. So I got our my camera and my trusty Zoom H1n recorder to record the occasion. I did notice though that before I put my camera in place, there seemed to be far more bees. Well anyway, I have put together with a few recordings of the sound of bees as they go about their business on my lavender bushes.

Using the Zoom H1n to Record the Bee Sounds

During the course of filming, I did notice that there were a few distractions as cars went passed. So in order to cut down the unwanted sounds, I made long recordings of the bee sounds and cut out some of the traffic. Actually, it turned out to be rather comical, as I was trying to get my sound recorder as close to the bees as possible. If I were a bee, I would have to wonder why is this person sticking a microphone so close to my backside??
